Solar Panels / Passive Solar Design / Integrated Greenhouse / Solar Chimney
The use of the sun is a key priority for Gorilla Design. The sun is an amazing source of energy and is used in multiple ways. Solar panels are used
to power the home. To aid with the amount of energy that is required, the house has been designed using the principles of Passive Solar Design. This
maximizes the energy absorbed from the sun through the use of strategically placed windows throughout the house. Furthermore, and in combination with
the Passive Solar, the Integrated Greenhouse cleans the air, provides oxygen and most importantly helps keep the home cool in the summertime. Last,
the house is further cooled in the summer by the use of a Solar Chimney. All of these items reduce, if not eliminate, the need for outside energy to
heat and cool the home. This saves money and reduces a homes' carbon footprint.
Water Collecting Roof
Water is conserved through collection on the roof into a cistern under the house. The water is then purified and used in the home. This saves on
utilities as well as natural resources.
Long Life
Gorilla homes are well built using materials that are highly efficient and resistant to wear. It can certainly be said that it will outlive its wood
framed counterparts.
